LONG RANGE HANDSET SYSTEMS
(UP TO 35 Km) :
These systems work like a
cordless phone, but handsets can work even 35 km away from the base. You
just install the base where your telephone line is, power it up, and your
land line becomes mobile. All antennas that we sell with these devices
are omni directional.
MARINE TELEPHONE LINE TRANSFER SYSTEMS (UP TO 100
Km) :
If you need even more range ALCON has
devices that can provide you with telephone even 100 Km from the base.
ALCON line transfer systems consist of two static devices at each end,
one with a telephone line connected to it, and the other one with a any
regular phone connected that you use on your vessel as any regular
phone. Both sides need to have an external antenna installed on a
high spot, for maximum range. |

When used over water, the combination of ALCON 458 power and the UHF/ VHF frequency translates into a tremendous range. Depending on conditions over-water communication distance of 200+km is possible. Reflectivity of water increases range of other ALCON devices significantly.

I am a fisherman from Dubrovnik Croatia...
...and i spend a lot of days and nights in open sea far from land and my family communication has always been a problem due to bad connection and weak signal on my cell phone often i have to pay roaming rates on neighboring states and their networks it gets really expensive I've been looking for a solution for a long time and finally found ALCON CT7,
but he also pointed that I should look into more powerful devices since I
needed more range than him.
My friend has one on his boat and is happy
with it. He has a range of 60 km. He recommended a few internet sites and told me to buy only ALCON because he couldn't find better working or
more reliable long range phones.
I finally bought a more powerful model, ALCON CT-88, and it solved my problem. The total cost was around 1500 euros
and now I have a range of more than 100 km and I do not use my mobile at
all. I am always available on my ALCON. Now I talk with my wife and family for FREE with interphone capability
between the handset and the base. My friends and other fisherman can reach me using cheaper land line connections.
All that I wanted. I love the sound of telephone ringing on my ship.

We are on a cruise ship "Marinela" sailing
on Adriatic sea
and we use telecommunication solution that we bought from
C4U a while ago. Our system is based on ALCON 458 unit on our ship and one on the shore. Onboard we have Senao
356 phone with 15 handsets, connected to ALCON 458, so our officers have direct land-line access and intercom connection between handsets while they are on ship, or on shore while the ship is docked. This combination is great for us and Senao telephones are very reliable. We are thinking of installing a VoIP gateway on shore, so we can make free international calls as well.
With our Alcon we never lost a connection and
our daily commute is up to 130 km away from the base with external omni
directional antenna on the shore. Senao phones covers our ship easily and
they are actually 2 in 1 devices since we use it more as an intercom radio
than as a phones. Great combination.

Q: Hello, I need a
long range telephone line transfer device for my sailboat. I was reading
that you can power ALCON devices with solar panels, that would be great for
me since i sail most of the time and my batteries already have lots of load
on them. to charge them, i need to run engine, but I do not like the noise
and the smell. Can you recommend me setup of CT88 with adequate power system
so it has its own power autonomy on my sailboat.

A: Hello,
We have a setup of solar
panel with charging controller that is perfect for CT88. However you need to
add a battery to it, since we do not ship them because of weight.
Since you are on open sea you should be getting more than enough power if
you place your panels correctly.
