Long-range Wi-Fi is used for low-cost, unregulated point-to-point computer network connections, as an alternative to other fixed wireless, cellular networks or satellite Internet access. We offer 2.4Ghz systems that work well in rural areas, and 5 Ghz devices that have greater range and less disturbances and work better in urban zones. Line of sight is necessary for all WLAN applications.

Wi-Fi networks have a range that depends on the transmission power, antenna type  and the environment. Outdoor point-to-point arrangements, through use of directional antennas, can be for many kilometers between stations. We have outdoor models that can transmit over 50km with speeds up to 40Mb with high reliability.

Mesh networking is a type of networking where each node must not only capture and disseminate its own data, but also serve as a relay for other nodes, that is, it collaborates to propagate the data in the network.

A mesh network is reliable and offers redundancy. If one node can no longer operate, all the rest can still communicate with each other, directly or through one or more intermediate nodes. Mesh networks work well when the nodes are located at scattered points that do not lie near a common line.

To ensure all its paths' availability, a routing network must allow for continuous connections and reconfiguration around broken or blocked paths, using self-healing algorithms. The self-healing capability enables a routing based network to operate when one node breaks down or a connection goes bad. As a result, the network is typically quite reliable, as there is often more than one path between a source and a destination in the network.

2.4GHz Mesh Network System
